CPU? Blown

Postby mackiewayne » Fri Oct 19, 2012 3:27 am

after 10 or more years or so good service my d8b decides to act up....it boots up and then shuts down and reboots....the time on is usuall only a few minutes till it shuts down and re boots.. so i pulled all the cards i could and tested as much as my limited knowlege would allow...now ive pulled the power supply and will go to the store tomorrow and see if i find a new one . any other suggestions?

:) :D :D well i found it... seems when i was replacing the hard drive i inadvertantly hit a dip switch and changed the setting on the cpu power supply i think it was sw 3 cpu configuration jumper...whew..set the switch according to the motherboard manual and presto just like i never went in it...thanks to Tom at mackie support who listened and gave some advice
