UFX Cards always set Inputs to "none" after few seconds! :(

Hey. My UFX card in Slot C (containts Antares Autotune, Drawmer Dyn, DSR-1, MDW Mono EQ etc) behaves incorrectly.

For example:

I love the Drawmer Dynamic Plugin.
Once i set its Input, everything is fine.

After a few Seconds the plugin sets its Input to "none" again, and again and again...(Happens to every UFX-Plugin....MFX is fine)

Thats so annoying...To be not able to use this card

All Plugins are registred, no demo versions or whatever...

Anyone got this problem too?

You have to authorize them. Money involved. The behavior you are experiencing is the plugs working in demo mode.

Check the authorization window.

Just to confirm that the plug ins are registered (a.k.a. "unlocked") go to the Manual page 68 (Chapter 3) in the hard copy version --- page 74 (Chapter 3) in the .pdf version for all the info. In the set up window under licensing tab there will be little padlocks, not to be confused with paddocks (that is an entirely different thing) - the plug-ins you are trying to use should have the padlock unlocked.... hence the popularity of the term... unlocked. If the padlocks are closed and locked you will have to re-authorize them with the proper number.

My English is not the best, but i guess i understand you.

The only padlock that is unlocked is called "Mackie Effects v3.0 Build 52"

All the other plugins (like Time Pak, Antares Autotune, Drawmer etc) are locked.

The owner of the console sent me all the email-contacts he head with the mackie team back in 2003.
There are some serialnumbers for "plugins".

A license #1 (Is a Box ID)
A ESN
and a "Key of your copy of d8b v5"

Which one do i have to enter?
There are some email adresses and phone numbers, but they all dont seem to excist anymore.

So it seems like the plugins where bought. But when i enter these codes, the padlock doesnt unlock

From the information you have given, it appears to me that the only purchased item you have information for is for the OS vers 5, software, you do not appear to have any information about the plugins.

This would tend to make me think that there were never any plugins purchased for the desk.

I would suggest that you check with the seller if any plugins were actually ever purchased --- I presume that the answer will probably be negative.

The Mackie effects you mention as being unlocked, came free with the console when purchased and work on the one supplied MFX card, all of the other plugins you have came from the "Service Pack 3" and are operating in the demo mode.

I guess that you are probably going to have to spend some money, unless the seller can give you the required authorisation codes for any plugins that had previously been purchased.

Can you confirm that you definitely do have at least one UFX card installed, as well at the MFX card?

Mackie support can answer that by quoting the ESN number of the desk (it is somewhere on the setup menu, I believe). They were quite good with mine, got back with all details of purchased software and plugins (with authorisation codes where bought earlier) in just a couple of days. Try the link on their webpage (not everything worked when I was there, but finally one of the 'contact' buttons or whatever worked)!

Yes I agree contact the Mothership. (This means get the numbers from Mackie directly) The codes are like this... XXXX-XXXX-XXXX in a series of numbers and letters --- NOTE: the “0’s” are Zeros not O’s - For instance my v5.1 is BA41-84D0-E7F5 and that is a numeric zero 0 not a letter O. And that number will only work for my brain board in my console.

PS: E-mail is probably best way to make contact. The ESN is on the same window as the padlocks as you know this. Hope this helps.
