Transport Section Went Dark Today

Postby bitSync » Fri Mar 04, 2011 4:24 am

Anybody familiar with this one? When the desk boots up the transport locator LEDs light up for about a quarter second then the whole transport section goes dark and inoperable.

It's either that you have a midi interface problem (cables) or you have HUI mode selected and it's not connected to a DAW that is generating the data.

In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

DOH! Thank you, Peter.

Well, I've never had the console in HUI mode, never needed to. But I've been kind of inspired by Marc Girard's adventures lately and was looking into the prospect of building a software translator to translate HUI CCs into MCU speak and vice versa. I'm trying to look at a number of different angles for d8b as DAW controller. I had forgotten that I may have left the desk in HUI mode to record the HUI MIDI messages (faders, switches, etc.) into my sequencer. I'm several states away from my d8b at the moment, but I'm certain you've got it sussed. I'll check it out when I get back sunday. Many thanks!
