How to replace the metal control surface of the d8b?

IS there an easy way how to remove the metal surface of the d8b?
If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants........

Having built my fair share of those things.... not really an "easy" way. It's doable but if you aren't familiar with what all is attached where, it would be labor intensive for the uninitiated. That's my 2 cents on it.

Don't do it unless you really have to...lots of work, easier if you've taken parts off it before.
