Is it possible to replace new mother board?

Hi, I have a bad d8b CPU, is it possible if I just buy a new set of motherboard and processor to replace my current old celeron set? Had any one out there done this before? I love this unit very much and I wish to stick with it . Please advice. Thanks.

No You cannot. You have to use the same brand of motherboard that the d8b came out with. If i'm not mistaken there is a motherboard for sale on ebay right now. Have a look. I think its a refurbished board (and expensive) but these motherboards are not produced any longer. So this is the only route.

I just noticed you hadn't distinguished whether it's the motherboard or the CPU that's bad. It's still possible to find the stock Celeron CPU out there. I've found a few on eBay for very cheap (i.e., $10 - $15 USD) and they've all tested out well. You may want to try replacing just the processor chip and see if that cures your problems.

I confirm that is mother board problem, the computer is running but cannot recognize my keyboard and mouse at all, it just cannot link the computer and board.

If it is in the data base, then you can definitely rely on it.

The database was compiled (and maintained) by two of the most knowledgable guys to have owned a d8B, with input (vetted) by a number of others who were also experts in everything related to the board. Unfortunately many of us have since either resigned from the business or have had to unfortunately move on to other recording systems.

Definitely often true, but definitely not always true. For example, try to find the d8b database recommended ATX PSU BIOS Power Management Setup (Soft-Off by PWR-BTTN, PWR Lost Resume State) in your standard AT PSU-equipped Mackie PSU/CPU BIOS.
