I just noticed you hadn't distinguished whether it's the motherboard or the CPU that's bad. It's still possible to find the stock Celeron CPU out there. I've found a few on eBay for very cheap (i.e., $10 - $15 USD) and they've all tested out well. You may want to try replacing just the processor chip and see if that cures your problems.
