Does anybody know, on the CB50BX motherboard, is permanently jumpering ATX-SW (J9 header pins 10 and 11) electrically equivalent to permanently grounding the PLATX1 ATX power supply cable PS_ON (pin 14 on a 20-pin connector, pin 16 on a 24-pin connector)? If I can just place a jumper on the J9 header I'd rather do that than rig some funky pin-shorting wiring on the ATX power supply cable or jack.

So I prototyped my new AC wiring this morning and it works just as I had hoped. The original AT PSU was removed from the chassis. There is a new 115vac mains coming in through an IEC C14 panel mount (eventually) connector supplying mains voltage to the CPU/PSU power distribution board J1 and J2 plus ground. The CPU/PSU power distribution board J5 and J6, which formerly sent switched 115vac back to the AT power supply, is now wired to a new 115vac NEMA 5-2 grounded panel mount (eventually) electrical outlet. The new Seasonic fanless PSU is plugged into the new outlet with a 1 foot power cord. I have set the BIOS Power Management function 'PWR Lost Resume State' (visible in the BIOS only with an ATX power supply) to 'Turn On', which causes the motherboard to fully power up the ATX PSU upon restoration of power (turning on the Mackie power switch). When I flip the front panel switch on, everything comes up fine.

I've now got to make a few physical accommodations. I had to relocate the DB25 console data connector to the card slot with the mouse/parallel ports. I removed the parallel port (wasn't using it anyway) and installed the d8b's DB25 console data port in its place. I have to fabricate a sheet metal plate to hold the new IEC C14 and NEMA 5-2 and it will go where the parallel port used to be. Also, the Seasonic ATX PSU is a bit larger than the original AT PSU so I'll have to do some rearranging in the power supply cavity.

More progress. Over the weekend I fabricated a sheet metal plate with cutouts for the IEC C14 and NEMA 5-2 panel mount 115vac power connectors. I cut a hole in the CPU chassis card mounting plate above the keyboard connector (where the DB25 console data port used to be) and mounted the new plate and the panel power connectors there. There are a few changes to the power supply cavity; due to the greater depth of the new Seasonic fanless ATX PSU some things had to get rearranged. One of the power distribution board standoffs and both of the transformer mounting studs had to be cut off. The transformer is now mounted vertically on the aluminum divider panel. The power distribution board had to be rotated a quarter turn to accommodate the increased depth of the ATX PSU.

I'll be fashioning new mounting standoffs for the newly rotated power distribution board and anchoring those tonight. That should be it except for carving open the top cover of the chassis and installing perforated sheet metal for sufficient convection cooling.

All done. Working beautifully with the fanless Seasonic ATX power supply. The d8b CPU/PSU is completely silent. Nice.

Hi at all,
I am in search of such a toroidal transformer Electronetics 600-036-01 E/I 5198.

I have a Mackie D8B with the 5.1 version and this transformer is defective. What is the Input and Output Voltage
It generates a buzz which can be seen in the Meterbrigh and confuses the desk.
I am looking for spare parts for the Power Supply.
Look at the picture.
How can help me.

Greetings
