Hi Mark,

Any news from that guide you’d put together?

Many Thanks,

Does anybody know how to reach marknexus via email? If he is willing to share the power supply mod, I'm sure it would help the rest of us.

Thanks,

Bill

I would really like to make this mod myself. I think I can work through it will a multimeter and a ton of time. I was hoping that Mr. Nexus would show back up here and grace us with his knowledge.

I wonder if google can help?

I will post back if I make any headway. It almost is a moot point as it appears that v2 will support the original computer.

Wouldn't it be sweet if a Raspberry Pi (or something like it) could do all the heavy-lifting rather than the loud, old, tired, broken down Mackie? Just a thought.

it seems easy to build an internal power supply, or at least a more silent external power supply, in some schematics diagram in the d8b database forum there are the pinout diagram of the voltages required for the console, +-16V for analog stuff, +5V for digital, +12 for i don't remember what and +48V for the phantom power, and some grounds, there are already power supplies that provide those voltages, its only matter of joining them together (sorry for my bad english :? )

Hi guys, apologies for the absence from the forum. Despite well meaning intentions I still haven't put together a guide ( there's always another project that needs just one final tweak...!) I do feel bad that I haven't done it so it is definitely still on my list to do and ill get it up here as soon as its done.

The good news following some months of use, is that I'm pleased to report that it has proven to be 100% reliable in use, with no problems - heat or otherwise.

However, the simple fact is that my interests have moved on and I am considering selling the modified desk - simply to make some space and provide funds for the next exciting challenge..

So if anyone is interested drop me a pm!
