Postby Creative69 » Fri May 17, 2013 10:15 pm

ok i have tried to find out but still cant see if its possible, can someone tell me if its possible to create and route a stereo submix and have a hardware compressor inserted over it, if not the fat channel compressor will do.

I do that by using the bus outs to the compressor and the use the alt I/O slots to come back into the console.

Why can't you assign your mix tracks/channels to Busses 1/2, output them to the hardware compressor and return its outputs to input channels 23/24 and assign them to the Master L/R Buss?

Peter
In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

Peter's way will work just fine as well. To do it with the ALT I/O slot, you would just need the suitable card for the slot. I use an AIO.8 card to feed a rack of comps. The bus outs are the sends to the rack of comps and the ALT I/O is how I return back to the console.

It is the 25 pin connector. You will need a breakout cable to get it to 1/4 inch or XLR, whatever you want your ends to be. It is labeled Bus 1-8 surround out, located above the XLR main outs.
