Yes, it's quite possible. It was thought for live SR so, they must have considered it to be enough. Still, with 48 busses and a dedicated 96 track hard-disk recorder (would be nice if it sounds as good as Radar) it
sounds a lot like a recording console to me.
Not sure about the 48KHz though.
All i know is what's on the site and there aren't that many reviews yet, or at least, the reviews there are seem to be based on the site info as well. The two other console models they have operate on internal 40 bit wordlegth though.
Edit: there's one thing that i think excedes what one might call "a nice touch". This: «
