PLEASE HELP Mackie d8b

Postby pianoman23 » Fri Apr 19, 2013 11:07 pm

Hi guys and girls. please can someone help me as I am getting nowhere with Mackie (What a surprise) I have just had to have my d8b repaired for the first time in 10 years. I have a licensed version 5.1. I had a new hard drive put in the rack along with memory new floppy disc etc. I have 5.1 loaded on it but need the authorisation code to unlock it. But since it's 10 years since I upgraded I can't find my authorisation code anywhere. Mackie have issued a licence for me but tell me my.mackie is down so they can't get me the authorisation code for the software to run. i have threatened to sue them because I have been without my desk for 3 weeks now and losing money in the studio. They tell me I can run v3.0 but my original discs don't work. (too old) They say I can download from their website but when I click the link an error appears. I am desperate here guys. Does anyone know where I can download v 3.0 or better still an authorisation code for v5.1 because after speaking to Mackie tech I don't have a lot of confidence in them.
Thanks in anticipation
Andy

Hi pianoman23,

I've had some troubles with my 5.1 license recently, you can read here about this subject: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=856

I've checked "my.mackie.com" right now, and it's working fine to me. Perhaps you should check if you can access, as I do. Once in, you should find your unlock codes in "Your orders", by following the link of the v5.1 you purchased.

Kind regards.

The OS 3 download page is here.

It may not have been a good idea to threaten Mackie so hastily. I realise your frustration but you may need to keep them on side.
