I have a problem with my D8B.
message:
Error: surface control card not ready . Last known state : reset

I made various verification nothing to do, now I want to change my hard drive.

currently on linux, I would change and spend the D8B on Windows 2000 or XP
how do I proceed? I know I need http://www.bootdisk.com. how to install this and later 2000 or XP when the boot START D8B Version 5.1


or I could just replace my linux version for windows and keep my HD, because my version of Mackie started but after I will post

That seems a little drastic! What have you tried to correct the fault as it's a common error?

I checked and cleaned all the cables of my cpu, I wanted to change the battery but I do not know if this is related or not. I even removed la carte lunch.

Re-seating the cables in the CPU is not enough, you have to do the same for the desk.

Sounds like it might be the BFC Connection

The BFC is the power connector and Peter has already linked to it in his post. Is this d8b new to you? Had it been running fine before this message?

Hi There,

Did you try a fresh system Install ?
Maybe the Startup File or System Files are Damaged.
