clicking when routing daw to d8b

Postby sweck » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:31 pm

hi guys, happy new year. I have an intermittent issue at present where i route channels from my daw out via my soundcard in both analogue and adat to my d8b, but im getting increasingly worse issue where the channels im routing to the d8b are clicking. to resolve it i just select the stereo output on my daw, then reselect the channel im routing to the d8b and it fixes, but then comes back. that happens both in adat and analogue signals into the d8b, and the card im using is a rme hammerfall. is there something i dont have configured right?

Clicks and pops usually can be attributed to some sort of clocking issue.

Clocking or buffer size. What is your buffer running at now?

Maybe an idea to reseat the hammerfall, I had a similar issue with different interface card but it resolved. Just a thought. :-)
Alternatively if you've checked the clocking issue like the lads have pointed out, try connecting a different audio interface (if one's available) just to see if analogue and digi signals pass clearly.
