db8 OS loadng issue

Postby captainamerica » Tue Sep 25, 2012 2:53 pm

Had to do some maintenance on some connectors near BFC. After a reboot, I was prompt to enter my AUTHORIZE code which I did. Now every time I boot the Db8 it gets to a message that says "Loading, one moment" and than nothing happens on the console?

I am sure you have made sure you are good with your data cable. What sort of "maintenance" did you have to do back there? I find it odd that it would ask you to re-enter your OS code...

When it comes to codes make sure you are not mistaking O (letter) and 0 (number) in the code if you have any of those.

Anything looking odd with BIOS settings?

I pulled out the BNC connector from the back-plane (unscrewed all 4 screws) so I could access to all 3 cables plus blue ground chassis cable connecting to P/S and than went to reset them. See photo

As for AUTHO code, I entered what Mackie sent in 2003, it's alpha numeric format.
Format is as such below (no letter O, just numbers and letters):
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Should I try entering the code again?

BTW: it's the "unlock Code" for Db8 V5.1 that I should be entering correct?

Have you gone through and reseated all the other ribbon connectors you can get to in there? This feels like something is going odd with the brain board, maybe connection wise., hence the code and reset message. Just shots in the dark from this side but that is my gut feeling thus far.

Yes....checked all the cables
it boots up now and all I get on the screen now is the "One Moment Please....." message and nothing happens.
BTW: These LEDS "flash" in the Cage Card while displaying the "One Moment Message"

Crash

I have been working on the db8 side of this problem...do you think I need to look at the CPU?
