channel going into the red

Postby sweck » Tue May 15, 2012 2:53 pm

hi everyone,

im doing some dance stuff on the d8b and to get to kick drum really snappy and big im compressing the hell out of it on the d8b channel which takes it into the red, could i damage the d8b doing this? it seems the only way to get it nice for these tracks is to drive the hell out of the channel so is it ok to do without risking wrecking the channel? i dont seem to be getting any clipping either..
