Does anyone know for sure which data cable works best? I just purchased a d8b from ebay last week and it was missing the data cable. Now I keep getting the error code 43 on my and the system says that the DSP card is not ready. I really need the data cable.

Any Help?

You're right, you really need a data cable!
If you can't find one then you have to make one up.

First thing I'd do is call whoever sold the d8b to you and have him mail you the data cable. You can refrain from calling him a goose unless he refuses then, let loose.

Hi freqabeat

There are only 2 types i came across before i bought mine. There was the standard RS232 25pin male to female serial lead and then the null modem (crossover) equivalent.

Buy the standard RS232 25pin m/f one! For less than 10 squid i'd rather have the peace of mind of purchasing a new one!
