Postby bastafuerte » Sat Feb 18, 2012 12:16 am

In the scheme of things, there isn't one... just chaos.

This is where those physical bus outs come in handy. I have a rack of external comps that I feed this way. If you hook up your comps to the bus outs you can take the signal you want to comp and feed it that way and return the signal via the ALT I/O slot where you return the signal to L/R buss. So lets say you have 8 channels of compression hooked up to the bus outs. We'll use channel 25 as an example. Take channel 25, de assign it from the L/R bus, pick the comp you want out of the eight and feed channel 25 to that bus. Then with the comps returning to the ALT I/O slot, you go there to to control the fader volume, pan and assignment to the L/R bus.
