ebay is gonna be your best bet. Unless someone here has a spare they would want to sell you.

If eBay turns out to be a bust, try S&X Audio.

Is there not a website that sells just this part individually apart from the console?

No. This product is long out of production and every console sold had a CPU with it. So usually they are sold as a pair.

Are you talking about the CPU unit, the rack mounted part of the d8b?
The CLU (has 2 power supplies

Or are you talking about one of the 2 separate power supplies that are in side the CPU?

Im talking about finding the CPU thing as a whole. I already have the console I just need to find the other part. Ive looked on Ebay and they only sell them as a set. Would there be a place around here where people might be selling this?

Some people on the forum had a spare CPU. And not long ago there was somebody selling this kind of stuff.
Have you asked mackenziejoyous on Ebay ? He´s offering parts for d8b and HDR.
Good luck in finding.

fwiw, The CPU is the computer/brains of this combo.
The mixing surface is just a control surface with some Gozintas and Gozoutas on it!

If they ever did sell the CPU as a replacement part, it probably cost $4000. There's 2 power supplies, a complete PC computer and some other stuff in there! Best to pick up a used d8b complete and keep the parts. You might find out that the mixer portion that you have is broken or missing important parts

There's actually 3 power supplies. The 24 - 48 Volt DC job for phantom powering springs to mind. Never forget "The Ghost Who Walks".
