When are you getting this error message? On boot up? during a session?

During a session....
Or more to be a bit more precise after running FTP to upload a WAV file from a PC
Im guessing its a bit rate issue... ????

Are you getting this on your HDR or your d8b? If you are talking the HDR then read this:

Error Messages
When I am importing a wave file into the HDR (MDR) I see an error message displayed - 'Error 50'. What could this mean?

You are probably importing a wave file that contains header data that the HDR cannot understand. Try opening the file in a wave editor and save the file. This will often strip-out this extra data. From a wave editor you can also view File Properties to see if the file has be rendered at an unusual bit depth. A 32 bit (floating point) file for example, will not be recognized by the HDR.

You have asked the question in the d8b section which may be why you are getting a lot of blank stares, FYI. I don't recall there being an error 50 on the d8b. The d8b has a generic error 43 that is a pretty broad way to say something strange is a foot at the Circle-K. (A quickie mart type store to my non-American friends) There are a few other error codes but they give you hint as to what is going down and they are pretty infrequent as compared to the error 43 check engine light.

I think you are onto it Crash ! Ooops, wrong section ;)
Im going to have to try the files through a wave editor and see what happens, fingers crossed as this would really help things round here if it works :)

Make sure you read up on importing tracks into a project on the HDR. It is not very intuitive and result in error messages, one of which is an error 50, if I recall. Your audio files may have the correct header info but your procedure in getting them into a playlist may be what is throwing you. Hope you get it sorted.
