Phil,

I wish my problem was that simple !!!!!!

Still have no idea as to what the non published LED light combination that I have is indicating ---- apart frm the fact that nothing is working !!!!!!!!!

The symptoms for me was, after about thirty seconds the VU’s froze, switching off and rebooting did the same.

I think the difference with you is, you don’t have any audio playing at all ?

Everything was fine except…..three times today the VU’s froze but after a longer playing time which to me means that the ribbons are braking down on the spikes probably due to tarnishing, so, if it carries on, I’ll do a ribbon swap from one of my other two desks just to confirm.

No, I’ve had this problem a few times, the desk works perfectly then a Vu freeze, rebooting, it’s perfect again for a but freezes again after a few minutes, a ribbon clean usually does the job, after the clean, it worked for maybe twenty minutes before another freeze, this happened twice, but not on the last session.

What’s really needed is to take the ribbons completely off the spikes and a fresh part of the ribbon put back on so no oxidisation, there’s a special tool needed for this?
