Can you confirm that you have the clock card in and you have the CMOS set correctly and the d8b boots correctly with no error messages.

If you plug a mic etc into a line in, do you get a VU reading on that channel and also on the master VU's?

Looking at the pics, the first picture shows something in a I/O slot that is not an I/O card. That is either the factory sync card or an F/X card, which would go in a different slot than an I/O slot. You speak of another interface, which now means you need to clock these devices together, one has to be the master. I am guessing you may some issues there, though it is hard to be sure with the language barrier.

I would start by just having the d8b not connected to anything else, make sure there is a clock card installed in the sync slot, plug a mic into mic 1, make sure you are on the correct bank (mic/line 1-24) and see if you get VU activity on channel 1 and then see if you can get it on the master bus V/U. Start simple and then go to the next step.

Yes, this card was CLOCK card. CMOS is fully installed correctly. I tried to insert this card into the sync slot, now I got an error when downloading: DSP Control Card not ready. Last Know State: Reset. Up to this point at the start there were no errors. There was no signal on V / U earlier. Now this error prevents me from logging in. By the way, I changed the battery on the motherboard a month ago.

Try unconnecting the Big connector and Data connector and reconnecting them.

Without the clock card in the correct slot, you will never get audio out of the console. That would explain why you couldn't get signal out of it earlier. There were 2 different motherboards used in the d8b. Are you sure you did the BIOS for the one you have? Incorrect settings here can give you that DSP error message.

Another thing that can make a d8b act all sorts of odd that gets overlooked can be bad RAM.

I checked CMOS again according to DataBase and made sure that everything is correct. RAM is fine too. It should be noted that before I inserted the card into the sync slot, the system was fully loaded and controlled the console. All modes were switched, the faders moved, but the sound didn't go.

As indicated, you can power on a d8b and get the system to load, get fader movement, etc. without a clock card installed. But you won't get sound out of it with the exception of the 2-track A, B,C inputs. It is possible that the clock card is bad given that you have checked these other issues. Did you power up the console when the clock card was in the I/O slot by chance? Sorry the crew here has not been able to get you going on this one...

That may be a bad thing. I don't know what that might have done to the I/O card.

Hey! About month ago i ordered new Clock card on eBay. Yesterday i took this from post office. I connected this card but console again say: DSP Control card not ready. I check my BIOS again but don't find errors. I don't know what i will do. Please help anybody who had this trouble.
