Help! New user D8B

Postby yrvin » Fri May 24, 2019 11:27 pm

Hello, I recently purchased d8b, what should I do next? The first time I work with a digital console. How to properly configure the inputs and outputs for each channel? And better please send me the already configured session, so I downloaded it. Thanks :)

You need to tell us what other gear you are linking up to and what cards are installed into your d8b?

At the moment, there is only one card installed in my d8b in the TAPE 17-24 slot, I still have more than one effect card. Earlier, I worked 7 years with analog equipment.

For live use. I need to sound drums and voice (for example). I will take the "insert" output from each channel to the audio interface (usb). It's more comfortable for me. I need the channels to just sound.

So, you need around six mics for drums and one or more for vocals, so what's the problem, just use the line outs...this is going to a PA, you're not using anything else with the d8b, no eq, compression or effects...forgive me if I'm wrong but if that's the case, any mixer would do?

If it were an analog console, then everything would be without problems. I connect everything correctly, but I don’t know how to insist in D8B OS V5.1 itself. And thanks for helping.

V5.1 is not difficult, it's a shame not to use everything thats on board, one of the main things to get your head around is it's four banks, if it was analogue it would be four times the size, there's lots of help here on how to work it, once you get your head around it, you'll wish you had one a long time ago!

Sorry that i again ask, but my console still not working. I've already read the entire manual backwards and forwards. I did everything as it says, but the channels still refuse to sound. I don't use anybody effects. I just want that channels sound in LINE mode. Maybe i must buy even anybody PCI cards? One more time sorry for question.
