Hey.
In my attempts at messing with the power supply, I might have ruined something in my d8b.
I can boot, and the firmware starts loading. However, when the gui pops up, I get a message saying the "dsp control card not ready". This message is shown both on the CPU monitor, and on the lcd display of the desk.
I've tried various things, and are fairly certain the problem is with the desk - not the CPU.
So I wonder what might have been ruined in the desk.
As mentioned I've been messing with the power supplies - I've bought some supplies on the net, with the plan to put them inside the desk, so I could make a smaller computer case outside with only the pc parts inside.
In my fiddlings I think I managed to reverse the leads for the analog power supply (+/- 16V). However, looking at the schematics, there are two protection diodes on the power board in the desk, so I would have thought it didn't do anything bad in there.
Anyone with deep knowledge of the insides have a good suggestion on how to start troubleshooting this?
I suspect it might be the dsp card, but I am unsure.
Anyone?
