Good to know you're safe!
Since originally, what you wanted was the plugins, you'll have to use Munkustraps hack.
Or, use the disk image I made, which is already hacked, and has all plugins installed.

Got it working fine with 5.1. I'm sorry, but I'm confused. There has been so many things written that I'm not sure which is which. I don't know where to look to fine what you're talking about. And I'm not sure how to implement it. Sorry, but I am lost.

If I do what you're saying, will I have to use the computer to run the plugins?

Yeah,it's taken some time - no wonder you're confused.

Originally you posted, asking if Mackie still sells the plugins, which I dont think they do.
So in order to help those that didn't have either OS version 5.1 or the plugins, someone (munkustrap) made a hack that lets people install all those.
Since you mentioned this could be challenging for you to do, another option is to use an image of someone else's system, which has all this installed (in this case mine) - so you're making a copy of my system on yours.
I wrote a step by step guide earlier in this thread - you can find it here:
viewtopic.php?nomobile=1&f=2&t=1912&start=10#p14362
Since you are now using a CF card, it's actually a bit easier. You do need to do the imaging procedure on a different computer, that has a CF reader though.

Computer that has a cf reader? Are we talking software or hardware? What do the letters "cf" stand for? Card flash? Certain failure?

It stand for "Compact Flash".
You need a computer that has a Compact Flash Card reader, to work on the card.
(it's not uncommon on pc's but not all too common either).
When you plug it in, it will work a bit like plugging a usb key into a usb slot.

Anders,
I went to Walmart and got a usb flash card reader, but it does not line up with the d8b card. Which one do I need?

Hi,
I’ve got the new drive installed and all the plugins working like new. I have this because of all of the help from you guys. I sincerely want to thank everyone who helped me. I wouldn’t have this without you guys. I am so grateful to you. I can’t thank you enough!

I want to especially thank Anders. He was the one who eventually got me up and running. I just want the d8b community to know what a great person he is.

Thanks!!!

Hi Anders- thanks for this great work- We have a D8B with a dead drive so no way to get to the auth codes. I tried downloading the image posted in this thread but it is missing- do you have a copy lying around by chance? And will this hacked image solve our problem or do we still need to run through the steps in the crack thread? Thanks!
