the macrium software, once loaded and running will detect the attached drive. (attach drive first)

you will have options to image drive to a location on ur pc or to another drive. you want to place the image somewhere on ur pc.

now, the new drive ur imaging to must also be imaged to ur pc ( properly labeled) just in case something goes wrong you can always revert.

the new drive must now be formatted
fat32 (uncheck quick format)

once formatted; use macrium disk refresh so it can detect ur formatted drive, then use the option to image a drive with a stored image within ur pc (the first one you saved earlier)

the macrium software gives you the choice to copy EVERY SINGLE BIT OF DATA in their selection boxes, check those boxes so you can get a FULL 1 for 1 copy.

reattach new drive and boot.

i will send you a link to the page within sonido-7.com showing you the screenshots of the process

I have just realised that the reason I am swapping d8b's is because the one I have as the Master had a bug in the OS.

If I do a 100% HD transfer, the bug will also transfer so it needs to be done without the OS, I don't know what actually is shows with the files etc after the transfer.

I have had version 5.1 for about twelve years with no problem, until a few months back.

When opening a project, I usually use a locator to go to the start, it works once but no more, if I select another locator point it doesn't go there, but the display shows "Locating"....Also, Automation has stopped working.
