MDR and possible SD card?

Postby phantomrage » Sun Dec 27, 2015 12:18 am

Hello group. I just got a MDR recorder. I need to get it past the error 43. Once I get it working my question was.

Anyone ever have luck with a IDE to SD card adapter to work as a harddrive?

As I understand the recorder had a 32gb limit. SD cards are cheap and plenty. Plus would work for my small home studio.

first you need to address the 43 error code, before you switch to the sd card mod.
fully explain your issue of your setup. mdr ver, d8b ver.

switching to sd card on mdr/sdr/hdr and d8b is easy and takes about 1hr.

1. macrium software to clone and image the mdr and d8b (if you wish to run sd cards in both)

2. ssd/ide drive adapter

3. sd cards

4. go here and take ur time

Once I get the unit, I will address the error.

Thank you for the reply... Very happy to know that it is possible.

I hope to leave the unit as stock as possible other then using SD cards or other media for recording storage.

Got it working on a 32gb sd card.

Really was easy once I got the motherboard manual. Lots of video cards from that year will work for simple bios reseting and updating.

At least for that purpose.
