Error 43 but no monitor working

Postby Hakka » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:45 pm

Hi guys

I have just had the dreaded error 43 but my monitor is not working either, the desk has been working no problem, I wanted to move my monitor so got a via extent ion and relocated it, when I booted I got the error 43 message and now the monitor says it has no input so I turned off and put the monitor back to the original location and cable and still the same

Any ideas of how to sort this

Hi Hakka;

Welcome to the forum!

Try OFF / ON several times. Sometimes mine is funny that way.

Also make sure yo clean and reseat the connectors (not just the cards) in the CPU and Console if the aforementioned doesn't do the trick.

If you haven't done so, search the Maintenance section in this forum as well as search "Error 43" in the "search a topic" box. Lots of additional help there .

Post back.
Cheers

Hi Bruce, thanks for the reply

Yeh iv tried on off a few times and cleaned and re sat everything... Its really strange

As i said i had it running no problem and ahve just got a vga extention to move monitor to new location and thats when it stopped working or more to the point just would not see the monitor so i put it back as it was working with same cables etc and still no joy, nightmare

Is ther a way to boot the desk without a monitor, i had a look online but could not find anythinh or anyone who has had the same issue... Loads of error 43 but with monitor working so can acces bios etc (iv had that once before and sorted) but this is a new issue

Hey Hakka;

You should be able to boot without Monitor, keyboard or mouse. You just lose many of the features that having a monitor gives you.

Did you try GENTLY pushing the IC (Chips) inside the CPU and Console? IC's have been know to work themselves loose from Heat/cold contraction. It's a long shot given the console was working but I'm kust trying to think of other possibilities.

Cheers

Hi guys thanks for the replies... I still dont have the desk working, it has been in for repair amd still no joy... The main issue is that the monitor does not display the bois, it does not come on at all, i have tried my video card in another cpu and its fine

I have found a second hand cpu available for a few hundred quid but it needs the auth code for 5.1 and i cant find mine anywhere.... Tried contacting mackie to get a copy of the version i purchaced but as yet no reply!

Any other ideas guys?

Triple check your RAM. If the RAM has gone bat no monitor at all.

Good luck
