D8B won't boot after losing bios settings

My D8B had been working well until the video became quirky. I bought a used video card online and replaced the old one. At the same time I replaced the board battery but unfortunately did not remove the insulating sticker on the bottom of the battery. By the time I got around to figuring that out I had lost my bios settings.
I purchased a new PCI ATI 7000 video card online as recommended here and still my board won't boot. I am unable to check or reset my bios because I have no video. What to do??

What happens when you put the older video card in? I don't see you getting th BIOS right without video.

The old video card doesn't work either. Feels like "the rock vs. the hard place"

Maybe something here might help... not sure. Maybe getting a hold of Mike Rivers might help as well. He is wicked smart with the HDR and this the same in terms of BIOS stuff.

Thanks Crash, I'll give it a try. I have Mike's manual for the HDR 24/96 and have looked for clues as to how to recover a bios without video.
Do you happen to have any contact info for Mike?

Hi

Try to rebot without video card... Then install video card and rebot.

2 check so you don't have exchanged the mouse and keyboard jacks... One time one of my consoles did like yours and that solve the problem.

3 disconnect the dsub 25 pin re bot reconnect and rebot.

4 try without all cards and rebot... Reinstall and rebot again.
