I'm heeeeerrrreeeeeee!!!!! (not that means anything)

Hi Guys....

First thing, I want to say Thank you to Peter for starting this forum!!!

Well after seeing the mess on the Mackie forum, I thought I would check in here.... Looks like a good place to hang out.... Now I just need to see if I can get over 6500 post on this forum, like I had on the other one... :D

And at least now I can post about how I really feel about what Mackie did to D8B owners, without fear of being booted....But as most of my old friends from the other forum know how I feel, I'll let it ride.

Well, it means something to us that you're here.

Welcome Mr. Tillman !

Hey, why don't you upload one of your planes as your avatar pic?

Hey Steve, sure we are friends !

I just wanted to show show respect. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm really glad you are over here, and I expect you to post more often than what you have been doing lately in the other place.

I wish you reach your 6.500 post here too :)

Hi Peter.....

Avatar uploaded!!... This plane is a 3D Hobby Shop "AJ Slick" There is a full size aerobatic plane called a "Slick", but the model was designed by a young man by the name of Andrew Jesky. This video in Youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3JWUjby8iE&feature=related is of the same type of plane, (just a different color scheme) as flown by Andrew. As you can see it has an extremely high power to weight ratio (about 220 watts per pound, and yes, these are electric) The wingspan of the model is 70" and is about the same length. This one came in just the two shades of blue, but the "Red Bull" stickers (or as we must call it to legally put it on our planes, "Crimson Bovine) were purchased and put on by me.
For a decent sport plane, you want about 120 watts per pound, for good aerobatics, about 150 watts per pound, for full "3D" flying, which is what you see in the video anything over 160 is good, 180 better, and over 200 will give you ballistic pull out from a vertical hover. My plane weighs in at about 9.5 pounds, and puts out about 2090 watts of power at full throttle.
Unfortunately, I am not as good of a flier as Andrew is (not many people are, as he is a champion flier.
