Hi Peter,
if i were you i would have made it clearer that railcaps problems with the exact symptoms related to a failed brainboard are not soley linked to failed brain boards but also to other boards. By disconnecting a board one by one you could isolate the problem like i did re: and it was a failed 8-fader board.
I would state it clearly on the data base:

I would have added (................on different boards such as fader boards, brainboard etc.) since as it is its a bit misleading. I thought it was the mainboard that failed and my tech and various users on the forum thought the same. Well you know....but i would emend the wording on the database. Its up to you administrators.
If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants........
