Hello everybody!
As a request from anyhorizon I have been researching to see if I could be able to change the URL insertion method. Apparently there is no way you can change the default BBCodes in the forum software.
Instead I found an easy way to add a custom BBCode so now we will be able to include YouTube videos in our posts.
Here is how:
Once you get into the 'Post a New Topic' page you will find a new button labeled "youtube".
By clicking the button this will be added:
[youtube][/youtube]
Now you just have to add the video ID string in between. This string is the part after the v= in the URL:
[youtube]oUdGZLIPv4I[/youtube]
I hope you like it.

Could you do somerthing similar with Soundcloud? I find it really cool to be able to play someones track without leaving the site I am on. They did this over at the Gearslutz forum and it is really slick.

Hello Crash,
There you go! Got to the 'Post a Reply' page and click on the new Soundcloud button. Then place in between the url you got from the browser. http://soundcloud.com/miximusmaximus/missing-yellow-tiger-cat-mix-10/ I used one of your mixes to illustrate the example. I hope you don't mind. I don't have a Soundcloud account but this is kind of cool so I think I''m going to sign up. Peter Holmquist. |

I don't mind at all.... Wow, you respond fast. I wish you could have seen me over here trying to figure out a tag that would work, only to realize that you probably needed to make it possible on your side. I think I'll stick to audio.... Thanks for the efforts.

That's way cool, Peter. I dig Soundcloud. Been using it for a while now and they keep adding really groovy stuff.
Your mix sounds bitchin'. Right-on, man, Dan (in a time travelin' flashback) |

Thanks Dan! If you like this one, there are more here, with more to come. Rafters remixes |
