Hey everybody...finally took my d8b to a shop and the tech says that he couldn't get the 16volt to read on the board; he thinks that possibly the brainboard may be the culprit because the faders don't register still?? Well, if it is the brainboard, what options for repair are there??? Just trying to do some "spend the money well" scenarios, I don't have any to waste on something that might not work. Thanks for any help!

the 16V are not used on the brainboard. It is only distributed to the other boards via the brainboard.
There are some kind of fuses sold on the brainboard. maybe one of These is blown if you have +/-16V on the supply but not on then brainboard.
if you boot with the CPU/PSU have a look on the brainboard. there are two leds on the board. green and red
When you brainboard is ok then the red LED should Flash.
if the green led is on then the Firmware was not transmitted from the CPU/PSU
If your red LED is flashing then you have a really big Chance that your brainboard is OK.
