I never used Ardour really, but it sure looks like a nice DAW. Porting D8Bridge to Linux is not really on the radar, I'd rather do a Mac port instead, it would serve a lot more users! :)

dumb question, but what exactly is the difference between Ardour and Harrison Mixbus? They look identical.....

Mixbus is Ardour with Harrison's DSP engine instead of the Ardour DSP engine.

Thanks for the info. I have not heard Ardour, but I HAVE played with Mixbus, and MAN those channel EQ's sound AMAZING!!! I am patiently waiting for them to release MIDI/MMC abnd Mackie protocol support for the Windows version. I have to say it's one of the best "sounding" DAW's I've ever played with, but the lack of MIDI and MIDI instrument support in Windows is dissapointing. IF I could get the D8Bridge working with Mixbus I'd be one damn happy camper. ;)

I do like the way it sounds but it's limitations are one of the reasons I don't dive right in. I've got too much invested in Cubase to move to another DAW but I do like the way it sounds. Ardour is a bit weird to edit in but I'm sure it just takes time to get used to it.
