Ardour / Mixbus ?

Postby derbrain » Mon Oct 08, 2012 10:23 pm

I stumble over D8Bridge cause i was looking for a good DAW controller for Harrison Mixbus which is based on ardour. http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/website/

Cause i see that D8Bridge support a wide range of DAW i want to ask if it can support Mixbus with some adjustments? Or what would be much better can support Ardour and Mixbus in future.

If you want to try mixbus download AV Linux there is a Testversion of Mixbus:
http://www.bandshed.net/AVLinux.html

So a D8B with D8Bridge connected to Harrison Mixbus running at Linux 64 bit would be really a dream of a DAW.

MIDI CC knob assignment is available in everything except Windows....go figure :P I would like to see it work once they add it to the Windows version.

Mixbus has a little catching up to do before D8Bridge will work on it in Windows. Not sure about Linux Distro, but I too would love to use my D8B in Mixbus. I think they have a version or so to go before all the MIDI implimentation is in there and working...

Looks like the Windows Version is the farthest behind. Linux looks good to go for MIDI CC and Mackie "Logic" Fader support. Personally, I think Mixbus SOUNDS better than anything else, they just need to get all the primary features fully implemented in Windows and they'll be onto something ;)
