does anyone have an idea where to get a power supply for an HDR?
Second, does it have to be a direct replacement, or will any power supply work?

Thanks in advance

Tim

wow, I remember when these forums used to get pummeled by answers, did everyone give up on it, or is there just no place to get a power supply these days?

Hi Steve / Baffled;

I can't answer your question with any kind of experience but try Mike Rivers at mm1100@yahoo.com.

If anyone knows he will.

Keep the faith!

I think any atx supply will work (as long as the supply is the same dimensions as the old one).
You could try to find a low noise one, to cut down on the noise the thing makes.
(personally I "hacked" the old psu in the one I bought, and installed an old low noise papst fan that I had lying around. Now that is almost inaudible.
Now my next problem is the cpu fan.... :D )

arjepsen is correct in saying that any standard size ATX power supply will work. It just a standard x86 PC under the hood, with some extra hardware hardware ofcourse. Be sure you have at least 6 molex connectors on the new one though. All the common new stuff is mostly sata, not many molex connectors. And I think the machine's requirement is 200 Watts if i recall. Slightly less ofcourse if you have SSDs :)
