Anyone at the wheel @ Mackie's forums?

Hi,

I'm a new (well, the board isn't exactly new...) d8b owner who has been waiting to be "authorized" on the Mackie forum since last week. I've tried calling/emailing support, etc. to no avail. I know there are a lot of the same folks here as well. Can anyone PM someone in charge over there for me? There are a number of folks that had various parts for sale not too long ago that I'd potentially like to contact sooner than later. Is it just me, or is it a little overkill these days to require "human" authorization when the rest of the web forum world runs more or less smoothly w/ e-mail verification? Particularly if the mods are just too busy with other stuff...

Thanks a million.

P.S. Same username over there, ForestCat

Hi ForestCat.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't know how the Mackie forum works these days but I don't think you would need to wait for a human response.

Are you sure you typed a valid e-mail address?

Here I've installed a system that requires that you (the user) have to answer a simple question to prove you are a human. This simple system keeps the spammers away. :ugeek:

Even I have to answerd the questions... :P

Hi Peter,

I wish it were that easy. Here's the email I received after registering:

"Hello!
Thank you for registering on Mackie Forums Home (http://forums.mackie.com/scripts/forum/ultimatebb.cgi).
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
Your registration must be approved by the message board administrators before you may post messages. If Members Only Access is activated on this site, you will not be able to gain access to the board until your registration is approved. Please be patient while we review your profile.
Again, thank you for registering."

And when I try to log in, I get this:

"Although you have registered, your registration has not yet been approved by our administrators. Thus, we can not give you access to the forums at this time. You will be notified by email as soon as your registration has been either approved or declined.
Thank you for your patience! "

So you see my point?

Ok. I see.

I'll contact Sean E and link him to this thread right away.

He's the official d8b forum moderator and I know he is very quick replying.

Yeah...

My question threw me for a loop, I mean how many #$%^$'s are there really? Physically, virtually, linked, HUI... I took the simplest approach - got in!
