Os 5.1 upgrade

Postby Bruno » Tue Apr 23, 2013 9:14 pm

Hi guys, i'm new to the forum...I bought a D8B with 3.0 Os and I tried to buy a license for 5.1v in the mackie store but i didn't receive any email back from mackie.
I tried to contact support two times but nothing happened...I paid by credit card and I see that the payment has been sent..
Four days have passed, has anyone had the same problem?!
Any suggestion is welcome, thanks.

If you're in the US, it's best to call them, otherwise just keep hounding them with emails.

Hi anyhorizon and thanks for your reply, unfortunately I live in Italy at this time so it is a bit uncomfortable to call them.
I'll try to resend email both to Mackie and Loud Tech Inc! Let's see what happen

Have you checked your spam folder? It's a long shot but worth a try.

I just asked a friend who lives in new york contact the mackie support for me.
They say they have problems with the program that manages the licenses and I will have the code when they'll fix it...
They could say something via mail since I already paid my authorization code...Anyway, thanks you all!
Bruno.

I wouldn't hold much hope for you Bruno. Mackie's licensing site has been down for ages. I had issues with my activation code and spoke to Mackie tech support every other day. Ringing the us from uk (costly) all the guy kept saying to me was we hope to get the site up later today. This was 4 weeks ago and still not up and running. So if I was you get your money back from your card issuer and just use v.3.0. My faith in Mackie is down the tubes i'm afraid. Good luck.

I asked them for three weeks what should I do to get my code and no one answers. I asked if I can have my money back and no one answers ... I bought 174$ of air?!? ... I have no words ...
one of the reasons why I bought this D8B is because of HUI and it's just in 5.1v ... Really frustrating

I agree. Try and ask for Beno by name (Ben Olsen, I think). If he's still there, he's very helpful.

Peter,

If I remember correctly his name is Ben Olswang and before the Mackie Forum went bye byes I also had his e-mail and phone contact ( I had many conversations with him as part of the TT-24 beta testing team). He is now head honcho for the stupid DL1608 toy thingy.
