Hi Fred and Welcome!
I do not use ADAT but would suggest that you throughly check all your setting on both your d8b, you new card and your recording device. There are many things to check for such as Sync, Smaple rate, Word Clock, Bit rate, Digital Format, which device is the Master, which is Slave, etc. This is where I would start. Check all three to make sure your settings are coorect. What is correct? Not sure but others may be able to help.
The biggest problem with technology (digital Audio in case) is understanding how it needs to be setup in order to communicate properly with other devices.
Others who are wiser than I will jump in on this once they read it.
Another thought, did you search this Board for other members who have had similar questions? Once you do, you may find the answer is already here. It is a big database so it may take sometime but there is a lot of knowledge here.
Good luck, and again welcome.
Bruce

Hi Bruce and thanks!
I have figured this out now!
It was the software to my soundcard that needed an upgrade and some settings!
Thanks for the help!
