booting/wordclock issue

Recently I accidentally changed my Apogee to 192 and the D8B went crazy. Shut it down and reboot but didn't lock so booted again. Everything is fine. Next time I boot up I get no signal. The software loads no issue but I get no digital or analog signal. I clean and re- seat all the cables and still have the same issue. I try a different Apogee card and the same happens. I put in the original WC card and it boots up fine and digital and analog is fine. I go back to either Apogee card and it's a no go. Any ideas?

Try deleting the startup file.

Thanks for the tip! I tried it but no luck. I am beginning to think I fried the Apogee cards. The original works just fine, but limits my setup. Any other thoughts from the gurus?

What do you mean by "either" Apogee card? Are you referring to the DIO 8 cards and not the Apogee clock card? Have you reset the clock source to external?

I have the original WC card plus the Apogee card which I upgraded and I had a spare. Only one at a time is being used, I know my reply could be taken as using several improperly at the same time.
Is it possible to fry the Apogee WC if it got hit by 192k by accident?

I don't think so. It just wouldn't recognize it. Try running your board with the Apogee WC card set to internal.

Just to be sure of what you're talking about... Do you have an Apogee Word Clock card in the Sync slot or are you thinking that the DIO 8 card is the Apogee word card because it has Apogee printed on it?

It's the Apogee in the sync slot. My other slots are ADAT i/o. Nothing has changed on my system for 5 or 6 years. I did put the apogee card back with WC in from my sound card. Under settings I can not find a place for internal/external or WC settings. I can pick between 32/NA, 44.1 or 48. Again no analog in or out functioning. I am still using V3. In the past IIRC WC automatically set to external if WC was present. Am I remembering incorrectly?
Thanks for the help BTW!

Under the setup window, on one of the pages, you'll find a setting where you can change W/C to internal. Try internal.

Also. as crash has previously recommended, with the monitors turned down, toggle back and forth between 44.1K and 48K finally settling on what your preference is.
