Video Resolution

I plugged through the database looking for this, but didn't find the answer, so I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone knows:

What's the video output resolution for the d8b? I ask in case I need to replace my old boat anchor of a CRT monitor, because LCD screens look a lot better at their native resolution.

Thanks!

I am beginning to process DVD (.vob) video files into .mp4/.m4v (H.264) and I wish to make them in such a way that the video resolution takes full advantage of the new hardware. The Apple website states:
3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen Multi-Touch display
960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
800:1 contrast ratio (typical)
This being the case it seems logical to me that my target output should therefore be 960 x 640.
Is my assumption correct? Is there anything that I'm not taking in to consideration that I should?
