studio talk-back

Postby KyRange » Wed Jun 08, 2011 12:08 pm

Hi Guys,

I am a relatively new d8b user, am in process of remodeling and upgrading my studio. I have set up aux sends 3 thru 8 for custom headphone mixes, feeding a 6-channel headphone amp. I want to be able to talk back to the musicians via their headphones, preferably utilizing the on-board talk-back mic which typically feeds the studio output. Is there a simple way of feeding these aux outs from this talk-back mic. I would prefer not to have to use a dedicated mic channel and outboard mic to accomplish this. Any suggestions appreciated.

Use auxes 9-12 (Cue Mix1 and Cue Mix 2). You can also route the talk-back to the studio outs. That will give you 5 sends like you have now. So you will end up with a stereo duplicate of the master and and two stereo cues which you can pan as mono for 4 separate mixes all of which you can use the internal talk back with. I hope that makes sense.
