Trying to install a new hard drive. Could not find a fresh drive so bought a second hand 30gb maxtor and formatted it to fat32 using my mac (not sure if this is the problem). Have fresh os floppies that i made on a windows machine at a friends house.
Installed the drive and pop the 1st disk in and it hangs at "Verifying DMI pool data"
I'v been reading through the 10 golden rules and other instructions but i think i might be getting confused. Do i have to load
ms dos onto the cpu in order to format the drive again?? Is it possible to use my mac to format / condition the drive?? Please any help would be much appreciated.... i just wanna get back to using my synths a make some music
