using Alt i/o spdif...how to patch it???

I need to know how to patch a analog input such as channel 1 or two into the spdif outputs as my fast track pro has it and I am in need of 4 inputs for this weekends recording session

What do you mean? Alt I/O doesn't accommodate SPDIF.

All channels, if assigned to Master L/R go to the SPDIF out.

The Alt I/O would work if you had a PDI.8 card for it, along with the appropriate breakout cable. Then again, so would all the other I/O slots with the PDI.8 card.

Yeah you're right, Crash. I always thought a transformer was needed to make the 110Ω to 75Ω conversion but maybe not. Good call.

As I recall, there is no need for transformers.
