Suddenly lost ADAT/BUS 2

I'm recording drums using 8 ADAT in to cubase and suddenly realize I have no signal on Bus 2 (ADAT 2). Any channel I assign to BUS 2 has no digital ouput.

I tried connecting ADAT out to ADAT in in a loop and I saw that I still get no signal in on ADAT 2. That tells me that the problem lies in the bus 2 connection somewhere on the out stage.

Any idea what this could be?

Is there any way to force a real hard reset of the console except making a new session?

Appreciate any help!

Update - Well this is interesting. Now I did a reset (new session) and did a remap of the alternative io's and now bus 2 works, but I'm instead missing bus 4!!!??

Oooooooooookay, restart and now all of them work! What could be causing this?

How long is a piece of string :) The d8b is very temprimental, it could be ribbon connectors...or a bunch of other things!

Hahaha, yeah I know, tough question to answer, sorry. Ribbon cables sounds like something I could check. Lately the board has also started being temperamental with some of the analog in channels, that it looks like suddenly its not getting any signal in whatsoever, (nothing on the input meter) then after a reboot it is fine again. It's nice that the board has a personality just wish it would be a bit less borderline :P
