Try here;

https://www.google.ca/search?ei=-7gVYJ6 ... CA0&uact=5

There are several different standards for AES/EBU wiring on a db25 connector. Really make sure you have the correct one.
The link above says it is for the d8b but it would be good to varify.
I looked quickly through the d8b 5.1 manual and didn't see any pin out.
Try contacting HOSA cable and see if they have a Pin-out diagram they would supply.
I will continue to look.

Good luck
Bruce

Ok, I think, I have solved this problem! Some other hardware, so as Avid, Digidesign, Universal Audio, RME -= use TASCAM type of pinout. Anyway, Mackie equipment - use Yamaha type pinout! Be careful, this is pinout for AES/EBU ONLY! Please, read russian term "распайка" as english "PINOUT"

Hey Angelo;
Glad y\ou got it worked out. I thought it was the Yamaha standard. If building your make sure to use 100 ohm cable, also very important.
Thanks for your music. So glad the Apogee card worked.
Keep Recoridng and Mixing but most of all have fun.
Bruce

Hey mr. Bruce!

Now I hawe only 100 ohm cable. It is - working without any artefacts! But I deside to purchase cable from manufacture, some later, because I planning to use more Lexicon MPX processors that one (3 processors: Short Chamber, Long Chamber and chorus - it is very beautiful sound!!!). Manufacture digital D-SUB DB25 to XLR snake cables - is very expansive in Russia - I need save some money for it.

My respects, mr. Bruce!

In any case, I need 3 pairs, and standart 1,7 m long. Also, I want metal RCA connectors on pairs (not XLR, because all my 3 Lexicon processors will have an RCA connectors and voltage comparators in SPDIF schematic for AES to SPDIF conversion. I will use an Lexicon MPX550 processors!) Now, I have only one Lexicon, but I will save money, and will buy also two units. It is not expensive processors, one unit I can buy for 100-130-150 US dollars in Russia. Lexicon MPX550 in Russia For comparison - snake cable will cost approximately also 150 US dollars! in Russia, from official distributor. Look: Snake d-Sub 25 cable in Russia I need save few hundred dollars, it will very long time at the rate of 76 rubles per 1 dollar! So, cables - to expensive!
