D8b wont boot

Greetings from Indiana.
I'm new to this forum, but have been using a D8B for over 20 years.
I hope someone can help me.
I recently moved & my D8B sat for almost 4 months unused. (I'm on my 4th one)
I tried booting it up yesterday for the 1st time, & NOTHING.
Nothing on the monitor, just the eventual forbidden error code 43 on console.
Anything I can do?
Thanks, Brent

Welcome!

The first thing I would try is replace the battery in the CPU with a new one and then re-set the CMOS, see where that gets you.

Thanks! Hi Phil,
I installed new battery yesterday.
I have no way to re-set anything, there is no info/text on the computer monitor. No way to change any settings.
That is what has me baffled. I have tried 3 different computer monitors hoping it was the monitor, but nothing.
Anything else?

I would re-seat the video card in the cpu and when in there, re-seat everything else including cable connectors.

Hi Phil, I tried re-seating everything, still no video monitor.
I hooked up another cpu to the board & it booted right up.
So I know its not the board. Thanks again..

Open up the cpu-unit.
When you start it up, do the fan on the pc board start spinning?

Hi Folks, The D8B came to life & is working fine!!!!!
It may have been the connection to the hard drive? (that is the last thing I re-re-seated (for the 2nd time).
Thanks for the help & concern.
It is nice to be a part of a group that has shared in the glory of making music on the D8B.
All the best. Brent

Sometimes the connectors get loose and need squashing back tight, fingers crossed it doesn't happen again :D
