Mackie D8b check errorsum

Postby rphelpsagain » Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:36 pm

Hi- I searched and searched but haven't found the back and white answer for my feeble mind. I just recently acquired a D8b after several years without one. I decided to go ahead and change the battery before I ordered the cf kit. I was able to get into the bios and set it and it worked like a charm! Moved it to another room and nothing. Stops at Cmos default settings loaded and checksum error. The thing is using the keyboard it won't allow me to use f1 or esc or hold down while turning on. I think all would have been fine but making sure I put the battery in + side up I left the sticker on the negative side. I took the battery out and left it out over night and even moved the jumper over. I had hoped reinstalling the battery correctly would have solved the problem but it didn't All of this to ask how do i get into the bios setup without the keyboard functions?? Thanks so much!!! I went from cloud nine to frustration we have all experienced. When the D8b is good it's good :)

Dummy me! I would have bet the farm that I had the mouse and keyboard in the right ports but NO :) Swapped them and reset the bios and all is GOOD!
