D8b won't boot

When power is on it shows error 43 I've tried holding down the delete button but it still won't boot up.can some one help.

You are holding down the delete key while it is going through the boot process? Just clarifying.

Did this rig ever work in your posession? I am assuming the data cable is in place. Might be a dead HD... Error 43 is like the check engine light in your car, fairly generic. The BIOS is not getting the the HD to load the OS.
