Hi all, Ive just after several months managed to find a CPU, everything boots up mixer and monitor all work fine, then aftyer 5 mins or so all of the console except the digital display shuts down, rude light comes on, the monitor works fine and selects between 1-4 stages, any ideas....ive taken off and replaced every power plug and fuse to the cpu board I can find. Switch off and fine again for another 5 mins.........

Hey Chad;

I am not an expert, but it sounds like a power supply problem. Maybe dried up capacitors?

These beasts are old and these kinds of problems are bound to happen.

Just a thought.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi,
What version of D8B software are you running? If it's 5.1, have you authorized it?

Have a blessed day in Christ,
Mike W.

Hi all, well I'm celebrating now, after taking the bottom off the console, taking off the power supply ribbons and reinstalling them, the console ran without fail and have tested it with mic's and cd and all is running perfectly. I must say I am extremely impressed with the crispness of the sound........so its a merry xmas for me!! thanks for all your support.

Life is good in the d8b world.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. (I know it's a bit early)

Cheers
