Hello! I want to use a Mackie D8B console. Can I use it without any interface and Connect Serial RS232 to RJ45 as a midi cable to attach it with a computer? If not suggest any answer to use it with my computer without any interface.

I don't think you can pull off what you want to do.

Hi Arslan;
Welcome to the d8b Forum.
As far as I know there is no way to connect the d8b to a computer using the RJ45 connector, on the back of the CPU, to send and receive data as audio.
The RJ45 connector on the CPU was never intended to be used in that manner so I do not think the software was ever written to do that. It is strictly a communication port for the d8b to an FTP server.
To do what I think you want to do, which is to, (and correct me if I am wrong), have the audio from the d8b recorded into a computer that is running DAW or recording software. Correct? If so you need and audio interface to do that.
Have a look at the manuals for the d8b (version 3 and 5 are on the database at the top of the forum), and perhaps you will discover what the RJ45 connector is used for.
Again, welcome to the forum.
Cheers
Bruce

Hi
there are RS232 to LAN converters on the market, but the only benefit you will have is that you get the d8b Serial protocol available on the LAN. As this protocol is far away from a midi specification you will gain nothing useable from that. So you Need some Kind of translator to convert the d8b commands to midi commands.
If you choose for Midi the HUI or Mackie/Logic protocol then we have exactly the same thing as the probox but on LAN instead of USB.
Also do not forget that the bottleneck on the speed remains and you will not become the benefit of fast LAN datatransfer.
best regards
Munk
